Evergreen Lemonade Cocktail
Lemonade is one of the most refreshing drinks. It is especially nice to have it in the summertime, served with ice and at a table or barbecue with friends and family. The days of the normal lemonade have passed however as new and interesting recipes are emerging that take the vintage version to the cleaners.
We all remember the days when lemonade was a simple sweet and vitamin filled drink that mom gave us and all our friends every single day and we never got tired of it. This is a common memory just like its traditional recipe, many remember that the main ingredients were water, sugar and lemon juice. Nowadays lemonade is not just like that anymore.
There is something called the Evergreen lemonade cocktail. This has past the tank of simple lemonade and wandered off into the land of grown up cocktail, leaving behind its refreshing nature and taking on some units of alcohol.
The recipe for Evergreen lemonade cocktail is a bit more complicated than the average drink, or better said, the average lemonade. The ingredients for the Evergreen lemonade cocktail are one measure of Russian standard vodka, half a measure of Mint Cream or syrup (De Kuyper Crème De Menthe - Green) and half a measure of Warninks Advocaat.
The three ingredients are put inside a shaker and mixed together by shaking for a few seconds, up to a minute. The Evergreen lemonade cocktail is served in a highball glass, so have on handy when you’re ready to poor it out of the shaker. A slice of lemon is added only on top of the drink, placed on the glass.
The Evergreen lemonade cocktail is a greenish colored delight that pleases adults and is not fit for children, but it keeps its refreshing nature to stay true to the original lemonade.
